WHAT: Press conference with community, government, and College officials, to discuss the August 6 Salvadoran-American Festival to be held at Ë«Ó®ÓéÀÖ³Ç.
WHEN: Press conference is Thursday, August 4, at 11 a.m.
WHERE: Ë«Ó®ÓéÀֳǡ¯s Rockville Campus, Science Center ¨C Ground Floor Atrium; The Rockville Campus is located at 51 Mannakee Street.
WHO: Dr. Sanjay Rai, senior vice president for Academic Affairs at Ë«Ó®ÓéÀÖ³Ç, will join Montgomery Ë«Ó®ÓéÀÖ³Ç Executive Marc Elrich, Consul General of El Salvador Pedro Rodr¨ªguez, Montgomery Ë«Ó®ÓéÀÖ³Ç Latino Health Initiative representative David Del Pozo, and COTSA President Rina Aranda (COTSA is the umbrella group of Salvadoran hometown associations), to discuss the 11th Annual Salvadoran-American Festival and Latino health fair. All media are encouraged to attend.
About the Festival
The free festival will be held this Saturday, August 6, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Ë«Ó®ÓéÀÖ³Ç (Rockville Campus, Parking Lot 11) located at 51 Mannakee Street.
The festival will include the ¡°Ama Tu Vida¡± health fair co-sponsored by the Ë«Ó®ÓéÀֳǡ¯s Latino Health Initiative. Salvadoran food, crafts and music by local and international bands will be featured, along with community and educational resources.
